Fifth-grade musicians headed to Cockeysville Middle School in the fall got a taste of what's to come when they took part in the 12th annual Cockeysville Area Music Festival on May 4-5 at Dulaney High School. Coming together were more than 110 band and 65 orchestra students from the Cockeysville area elementary schools: Warren, Padonia, Mays Chapel, Jacksonville and Carroll Manor. After playing with the combined group, the fifth-graders then had a chance to enjoy performances by the Winds of Cockeysville and the Cockeysville Classicals as well as the Dulaney High School Wind Ensemble and Orchestra. The concert was a terrific showcase of how students grow in the band program starting in grade five up to grade 12. hanks to all the hard-working music teachers for making the concerts possible!
