Female college student in Towson awakened by unknown man in her bedroom

Baltimore County Police said a female college student awoke early Sunday morning to find an unknown man in her bedroom touching her leg.

According to police spokeswoman Cpl. Cathy Batton, a call came into police around 5:15 a.m. Sunday from a resident at Danforth Court at the Colony at Kenilworth apartments who said she was asleep in her bedroom when she was awakened by an unidentified man kneeling beside her bed and touching her leg.

Batton said the woman had poor vision and could only make out that the person was a man.

Two residents of the apartment told police that all of the doors had been locked from the inside and that one of the roommates let her boyfriend into the apartment around 3 a.m., but locked the door behind her.

Batton said that police responded to an unrelated call at 9:07 p.m. Sunday for a man sleeping in his car, which was reported by the same woman who reported seeing the man in her bedroom.

The residents of the apartment also reported that in the last few weeks, they had found a cellphone in the apartment that did not belong to anyone they know,  and that a blanket and bottle of shampoo also may have been stolen, Batton said.

One of the residents attends Towson University, while another goes to Community College of Baltimore County, Batton said.
