Perry Paw Dog Park opens Saturday in Honeygo area

Perry Hall community leaders and Baltimore County officials will celebrate the grand opening of the Perry Paw Dog Park on Saturday.

At 10:30 a.m. the dog park, located inside the Honeygo Regional Park at 9033 Honeygo Boulevard, will formally open. County Executive Kevin Kamenetz, members of the County Council, state officials and Perry Hall Recreation Council members are expected to attend the opening ceremony.

The $205,000 fenced dog park includes a .34-acre area for small dogs, a 1.06-acre space for larger breeds, key card entry system for members, water fountains for the dogs and other amenities.

The park will be operated by the Perry Paw Dog Committee, which raised $20,000 in funds toward construction of the facility.
