Police charge two in Owings Mills stabbing

Baltimore County police have charged two suspects with attempted first-degree murder in the Aug. 24 stabbing of an unidentified man in his home in Owings Mills.

Anne Arundel County residents Kenneth Dale Sanford Jr., 34, of the 1000 block of Rose Anne Road, and Pamela Jean Knight, 42, of the 7200 block of Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard, were also charged Sept. 2 with home invasion and related charges.

Police say Sanford and Knight entered the man's home in the 9900 block of Lyons Mill Road, found him sleeping in his bedroom and demanded money. The man was stabbed multiple times while fighting with one of the suspects, police said.

Both Sanford and Knight have been charged with attempted first-degree murder, home invasion, and related charges. Both were being held Wednesday without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center.

Detectives believe that the man was targeted, according to a county police department press release. The stabbing remains under investigation. No further information was available.
