Elderly woman in Lutherville robbed by BGE impostor duo [Crime Log]

An elderly woman in Lutherville was robbed after she let in a man posing as a Baltimore Gas & Electric Co. worker into her home in the 1200 block of Longford Road, police report.

At about 2:30 p.m on April 9, a man came to the woman's door identifying himself as a BGE rep. As the woman escorted the impostor to her basement, a second man entered through the back door and stole cash, a Rolex watch and other jewelry. It wasn't until later the woman realized she had been robbed. The BGE impostor was described as white male, 6-feet, 3-inches tall, with short black hair.


Overbrook Road, 1100 block, between 10 p.m. April 13 and 4 p.m. April 14. Attempt made to steal motorcycle chained to street sign.

Loch Raven Boulevard, 6600 block, between June 1, 2012, and April 13. Copper piping stolen from basement of apartment building.

Boxwood Road, 6300 block, between 10:30 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. April 12. Large ornamental flower pot broken in back yard after attempt made to remove it.

Loch Raven Boulevard, 8600 block, at 1:59 p.m. April 11. Police responded to burglary in progress at Towson Cleaners. Arrested and charged with second-degree burglary were Trevon Ryan Beasley, 19, of the 800 block of E. 33rd St.; Darrin Steven Molsey,19, of the 5400 block of Lothian Road; Emanuel Alexander, 21, of the 3300 block of Westwald Avenue; Christopher O'Neil Marshall, 20, of the 3900 block of Queens Lace Street; and Calvin Antwan Watson, 22, of the 700 block of Belville Avenue.

Thetford Road, 1600 block, between 11 a.m. and 11:30 p.m. April 9. Cash stolen from dresser drawer after rear basement door window broken to gain entry.

Cedar Avenue, unit block, between 5 p.m. April 6 and 9:30 a.m. April 7. Trailers at Towson High defaced.

English Oak Road, 6600 block, between 5 p.m. April 5 and 7 a.m. April 8. Scrap metal, 24 screen doors and 120 feet of copper pipe stolen after lock on storage container cut to gain entry.

West Joppa Road, 1600 block, between 7 a.m. and 11 a.m. April 3. Copper pipe, marble vanity sink, mirror stolen after entry gained through unlocked basement door.


Saunders Road, 8400 block, between 7:15 p.m. and 9:45 p.m. April 12. Cash stolen after house broken into.

Springside Drive, 100 block, between 1 p.m. and 3:38 p.m. April 9. Cash stolen after rear basement window broken to gain entry.

Gerard Avenue, unit block, at 9:51 p.m. April 8. Man assaulted, then robbed of book bag containing cell phone, laptop, wallet, coat and cash.

Five Farms Lane, 400 block, on April 7. Woman beaten, raped by person who broke into her house. Woman transported to GBMC. Police report victim has declined any further investigation and there is no description of the assailant.


Cranbrook Road, 500 block, between 9 p.m. April 12 and 8:30 a.m. April 13. Nail polish, skin cream, lotion, manicure machines and cash stolen from Tammy's Nail and Spa after rock used to smash window to gain entry.

Beehive Place, unit block, between 8 a.m. and 5:15 p.m. April 10. Television, laptop, credit card stolen from apartment.

Shawan Road, 900 block, at 4:30 p.m. April 10. Man drove truck to construction site, tried to steal wooden pallets. Employee stopped man.
