$1M Mega Millions ticket remains unclaimed

A recent customer at a Baltimore-area convenience store has been carrying around a valuable slip of paper for the past two weeks.

A $1 million, second-tier winning ticket from a Mega Millions drawing last month remains unclaimed, the Maryland Lottery said Sunday. The ticket was sold at the 7-Eleven at 25 Eastern Blvd. in Essex prior to the Feb. 25 drawing.

Winning numbers in that drawing were 12-18-25-35-66, with a Mega ball of 15 and optional Megaplier of 5.

According to the Maryland Lottery website, the winner had 182 days as of Feb. 25 to claim the prize at Maryland Lottery headquarters, located at 1800 Washington Blvd. in Baltimore.

A Maryland ticket and Arizona ticket in that drawing matched five numbers, paying out a second-tier prize. The jackpot carried over.

The next drawing is set for Tuesday night, with an estimated jackpot of $309 million.
