Two charged in Randallstown shooting

Two Prince George's County men were arrested after Baltimore County police said one shot and injured a man during an armed robbery in Randallstown on Friday.

Lanham residents Harold B. Clark, 43, of the 10100 block of Lanham Severn Road and Ricky L. Reid, 21, of the 6700 block of Green Haven Road are both being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center, county police said.

Police said the shooting was targeted crime, but did not say why the victim was targeted.

Officers were called 10 a.m. Friday to an apartment in the 9900 block of Cervine Lane for a shooting. They were flagged down by a woman who ran from the apartment, according to charging documents filed in court. She told police when she answered the door, Clark pointed a gun at her and came inside with Reid. As Clark held her a gunpoint, she said Reid searched for jewelry and money, the documents said.

The woman's 10-year-old daughter, who was also inside at the time, tried to call police but Reid took the phone, the documents said. When Thompson tried to take Clark's gun, Clark shot him twice, the documents said.

Officers found the victim, identified as Brian Thompson, suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg and head inside a rear bedroom. Thompson was treated at University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center for non-life-threatening injuries.

The responding officers found Clark and Reid nearby. Police said both men had numerous pieces of jewelry on them.

The documents said Clark said he had shot Thompson and Reid said he stole items from the apartment.

Online court records do not list lawyers for either suspect. Thompson did not respond for comment Monday.
