Double shooting in Pikesville area Saturday

Baltimore County police are investigating a double shooting late Saturday in the Pikesville area that left one man with multiple gunshot sounds.

At 10:05 p.m. Saturday, county police were called to the 6900 block of Blanche Road and found a man with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment. Another man involved in the incident later took himself to a hospital for treatment.

Police said the injuries to both men did not appear to be life threatening. Their current condition was not known early Sunday.

Police said they believe a group of people were at the intersection of Nadine Drive and Brookmill Road when they were approached by a man who pulled out a weapon and opened fire, striking the two victims. He then fled on foot, police said.

The type of weapon was not immediately disclosed. This incident is under investigation by the Baltimore County Police Violent Crimes Unit. Anyone with information may call 410-307-2020.
