Trend of thefts from Towson yards, sheds continues [Crime Log]

The following is compiled from police reports from the Towson and Cockeysville precincts. Our policy is to include descriptions when there is enough information to make identification possible.

Police report that two patio umbrellas and a lawnmower were stolen from Towson residences between July 27 and Aug. 4. On Aug. 1, between 12 p.m. and 5 p.m. a patio umbrella was stolen from the 1600 block of Glen Keith Boulevard; another was stolen from the 1600 block of Cottage Lane between 9 p.m., on Aug. 1 and 5 p.m. Aug. 2. Between 8 p.m. on July 27 and 11 a.m. on Aug. 4, someone pried off a shed padlock from a residence in the 7000 block of Bellona Avenue and stole a lawnmower, police reports state.


East Joppa Road, 1600 block, between 2:55 a.m. and 3:18 a.m. July 30. Five men entered garage, stole Honda dirtbike.

Overbrook Road, 700 block, between 8:15 a.m. and 4:42 p.m. July 29. Person attempted to pry open door of home. No entry gained.

Overbrook Road, 700 block, between 10:15 a.m. and 4:15 p.m. July 29. Two televisions, two laptops stolen from home.

Stevenson Lane, 300 block, between 11 a.m. July 26 and 10:30 a.m. July 29. Person tried to pry open two apartment doors.

Knightswood Road, 1200 block, between July 18 and 8 a.m. July 30. Person broke glass door of home, no entry gained.


West Timonium Road, 100 block, between 7 p.m. July 28 and 9:30 a.m. July 29. Person pried open storage room at Red Roof Inn, stole vacuums, soap, sheets, towels.

York Road, 1500 block, at 12:24 p.m. Aug. 2. Person with handgun robbed Baltimore County Savings Bank at gunpoint, stole cash.


Fallsbrook Road, 200 block, between 9:20 p.m. Aug. 1 and 10:40 a.m. Aug. 2. Person broke into office at Spring Lake Swim Club, looked through envelopes and drawers. No items taken.

Chetwood Circle, 2400 block, at 2:08 a.m. July 29. Two men robbed woman while walking into her apartment and stole wallet containing cash.
