Funeral services for Towson pilot planned for Sunday

A funeral service for helicopter crash victim David Jenny Jr. is planned for Sunday in Plumsteadville, Pa.

Visitation begins at 9:30 a.m. at Shelly Funeral Home at 5880 Easton Road. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m.

Jenny, 30, of Towson, was one of five people killed in the crash late Saturday outside Scranton, Pa.

The other victims were Bernard Michael Kelly, 58, of Ellicott City; his daughter, Leanna Mee Kelly, 27, of Savage; Carl Robert Woodland, 29, of Lovettsville, Va.; and his son, Noah Robert McKain Woodland, 3.

A cause of the crash has not been determined. Jenny was the only certified pilot on board, although authorities haven't identified who was piloting the helicopter at the time of the crash.

Donations can be made to the David Jenny Jr. Memorial Fund to benefit Souderton intramural soccer, where Jenny served as a volunteer coach. Gifts can be sent to G.M.C., P.O. Box 1389, Doylestown, Pa., 18901.

Mourners are asked to arrive early to accommodate large crowds.
