Woman dies in crash after car is struck by deer in Cockeysville

Baltimore County Police say a woman was killed Saturday in a single car crash in the Cockeysville area.

According to police, at 1:20p.m., Nov. 10, police and fire personnel responded to the area of Padonia Road and Beaver Dam Road for a report of an accident involving injuries. 

When officers arrived, they discovered a Honda had run into a light support pole at Beaver Dam Road and Texas Station Court.

Police said they believe the car, which was driven by a woman in her 60s, was traveling southbound on Beaver Dam Road approaching Texas Station Court when the car was struck by a deer.  The Honda then struck a light support pole. 

The driver of the Honda was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel.  She was later identified by police as Suzanne Natalie Selby, 62, of Lutherville.

This incident is under investigation by the Baltimore County Police Department Crash Team.
