Baltimore County says 75 percent of roads plowed

Baltimore County says 75 percent of roads have been plowed.

About 75 percent of roads in Baltimore County have been plowed as of Monday morning, officials there said.

Workers hope to get to every street at least once by Monday night, county spokeswoman Ellen Kobler said.

"We have made it to more than three-quarters of the county roads, but that still leaves around a thousand to get," Kobler said. "It's still not totally safe to drive."

Additional equipment is being brought into the county, she said.

Department of Public Works officials had estimated it would take 48 hours from when the storm ended to plow all streets.

"We're asking people to understand that this is really the equivalent of three or four average storms," Kobler said.
