Vehicle crash kills elderly pedestrian in Southeast Baltimore

A elderly pedestrian was killed Friday morning after a vehicle collision in the 2400 block of East Fayette Street, police said.

At 10:12 a.m., officers from the Southeast District responded to the area for a report of a serious accident. As a result of automobiles colliding, a pedestrian, identified as Eddie Jones, 85, was injured and trapped under a vehicle. Citizens and Fire Department personnel worked to free the victim.

Medics transported Jones to Johns Hopkins Hospital for treatment, but Jones succumbed to his injuries.
