Police identify 15-month-old boy killed in crash with MTA bus

Baltimore police have identified a 15-month-old boy killed in crash with an MTA bus last week.

Police on Thursday identified the infant killed in a crash last week between an SUV and a Maryland Transit Administration bus in Northwest Baltimore as 15-month-old Sidney Williams.

Williams, of the 4000 block Edgewood Road, was in the SUV, headed east on W. Northern Parkway, when it struck the back of the bus at the intersection with Wabash Avenue at about 6:20 p.m. on Jan. 5, police said. He and the woman driving the SUV were hospitalized.

Despite treatment, Williams later died; the woman was expected to survive her injuries, police said. The woman's condition and the cause of the crash were not released. Police said no one on the bus was injured.
