A 31-year-old man from Dundalk told police he went to the Chesapeake Square Shopping Center in the 6700 block of Ritchie Highway to meet a former girlfriend. When he got there, he was confronted by another man and the two got into a fight, police said.

The Dundalk man was stabbed in his left hip. He was treated at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore.

Police charged Gene William Farr, 36, of the 1100 block of Castle Harbour Way in Glen Burnie, with first-degree assault, second-degree assault and reckless endangerment.
