Vacation Bible School

The Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer will hold Vacation Bible School, Prayer Safari with Jesus, from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday, July 22-26, at the church, 7606 Quarterfield Road in Glen Burnie. There will be Bible stories, crafts, recreation and snacks. Cost is $5 per child, 3 years old through the fifth grade. Information: 410-766-8778.

Peach festival

Eastport United Methodist Church will hold its 38th annual Peach Festival from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, at the church, 926 Bay Ridge Ave. in Annapolis. The event also includes family-style chicken dinners for sale, a silent auction and bake sale. The church will pre-sell peach pies, peach cakes, pickled beets and a limited amount of peach jelly from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2. Dinners are $15, $7 for children younger than 12. Proceeds from the festival will benefit the church's community outreach and missions programs. Information: 410-263-5490.

Yard sale

Epiphany Episcopal Church will hold its annual yard sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, at 1419 Odenton Road. Hot dogs, lemonade and baked goods will be for sale. Donations for the sale will be accepted at the church from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Aug. 15-16. The event raises funds for community outreach projects. Information: 410-551-5234 or 410-672-1511.
