Painting competition Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts and the Mid-Atlantic Plein Air Painters Association hosts the ninth annual "Paint Annapolis" competition on the streets of Annapolis. This annual citywide event features 30 juried artists painting cityscapes throughout downtown for prizes. Competition takes place sunrise Thursday, Sept. 23 through sunset Saturday, Sept. 25. The Dueling Brushes-Quick Draw Painting Competition will take place from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 25. Crab feast The Ann Arrundell County Historical Society holds this event from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 25 at Kurtz's Beach, 2070 Kurtz Ave. in Pasadena. Menu includes all the steamed crabs you can eat, pit ham, pit beef, chicken, hamburgers, hot dogs, baked beans, salads, bread, fruits, dessert, beer, soda, iced tea and coffee.
