Motorcyclist injured in Crownsville crash

A motorcyclist was injured after crashing with into a vehicle in Crownsville Wednesday afternoon, officials said.

The 66-year-old man was riding a motorcycle near the intersection of Herald Harbor Road and Harbor Oak Drive at 12:09 p.m. when the bike collided with a vehicle, said Capt. Russ Davies, a spokesman for the Anne Arundel County Fire Department.

The motorcyclist was flown by helicopter to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center with serious injuries. The injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.

The circumstances of the crash were not immediately available.
