Severna Park outlasts Broadneck in five sets

Kelli Kazmarek (35 assists, 12 digs, four aces), Chloe Campbell (11 kills), Siena DeCicco (seven kills) and Skyler Sale (seven kills) led the way for Severna Park in a five-set victory over Broadneck on Thursday, 25-22, 25-22, 20-25, 18-25, 15-13.

Madison Chadwick (10 kills, 16 digs, 20 service points, two aces), Malia Misola (25 service points, nine digs, two aces, three kills) and Makena Smith (26 assists) paced the Bruins (4-4).

MEADE 3, SOUTHERN 0: Nina Huff had six aces, seven kills and three assists to lead the Mustangs’ 25-22, 25-11, 25-20 sweep of the Bulldogs.

Victoria Stewart and Zipporah Posey had seven and six kills, respectively, and Ja’Maeca Stanton added five assists for the Mustangs (6-2).

Southern (4-5) was led by Jessica Chaney with 19 assists, Raven Pratt with 11 kills and Elyse Pinelle with four kills.

CHESAPEAKE 3, NORTH COUNTY 0: Kylie Houtz served 11 for 13 with three aces and added two kills and two digs for the Cougars in the 25-23, 25-14 and 25-22 victory. Ally Fisher served 10 for 12 with three aces, two kills, two digs and a block, Tara Gabrielsen served 12 for 13 with two aces and six digs and Grace Lindemann added six assists and an ace for Chesapeake (5-5).

ARUNDEL 3, ANNAPOLIS 0: Chyna Gubbings had 10 kills and Taylor Wigglesworth added six aces and helped the Wildcats (8-0) stay unbeaten with the sweep of the Panthers, 25-14, 25-7, 25-9. Karen Bautista (5 for 5 serving, five kills) and Oriana Chard (6 for 6 serving) guided Annapolis (1-8).

GLEN BURNIE 3, CHESAPEAKE SCIENCE POINT 1: Sylvia Frye had 12 kills, 22 digs, two assists and four aces to lead the Gophers past the Eagles, 25-16, 20-25, 25-17, 25-10. Alysha Shaw had 19 digs and three aces, Irelynn Dunn had four kills, 18 assists and eight aces and Tori Cain added two aces and nine digs for Glen Burnie (3-6). Auburn Schnitzer (five kills) and Julia Shaia (two aces, four kills, 8 for 9 serving) guided the Eagles (3-5).

AACS 3, PALLOTTI 0: Milan Gomillion served 22 for 23 with five aces and four kills in the Eagles victory, 25-15, 25-20, 25-19. Skylar Emert had nine kills and four blocks, Grace Williamson served 9 for 9 with three aces and Becca Short served 10 for 10 with an ace and four kills (10-1).

SPALDING 3, MCDONOGH 0: Sarah Couch led the way with 23 assists and six aces and was 17 for 17 serving, as the Cavaliers won on the road, 25-23, 25-13, 25-21.

Taysha Bender had five kills and a block and Morgan McQuin with added four kills and two blocks for Spalding (7-5).

NORTHEAST 3, OLD MILL 1: Brie Adams paced Northeast, serving 20 for 22 with five aces, three kills, and four blocks in the victory over the Patriots, 18-25, 25-21, 25-17, 25-21. Tori Collins served 15 for 15 with four aces for Northeast (4-6). Rachel Lee (eight kills, four blocks), Iris Howard (seven kills, two aces) and Celina Owens (three kills, three digs) paced the Patriots (1-7).

ST. MARY’S 3, CATHOLIC 1: The Saints (9-1) won 25-9, 25-18, 16-25, 25-20.
