Girls lacrosse roundup: Sullivan, Mansur help Seahawks close with victory

Kathleen Sullivan scored four goals and added an assist and Carly Mansur stopped 12 shots, as South River closed out the South River Showcase with an 11-4 victory over Severn on Saturday.

Morgan Carter and Madeline Cloyd had two goals apiece, Alexis Grant scored a goal and notched two assists, Madeline Lenkart and Lauren Zinkl each scored a goal and Kelsey Winters recorded three assists. Emily Ingrao scored two goals and Sydney Kirchenheiter and Camryn Levin scored a goal apiece for the Admirals (3-3).

CHESAPEAKE 16, JORDAN SIENNA 5: Kiersten Blanchard had four goals and an assist and Riley Harrell also scored four times as the Cougars had an easy time with their opponents from Napa, California. Jordan Snyder added two goals and three assists, Karlie Stracke had a goal and two assists and Peyton Colhouer and Carson Giordano each had a goal and an assist for Chesapeake (4-0).

WESTMINSTER 16, BROADNECK 15 (OT): Sammy Dupcak scored four goals and registered two assists as Broadneck rallied to force overtime, but the Owls took the game on a free-position goal. Rachel Della and Alexis Sullivan each scored three goals, Kaala Puglisi scored two goals and notched four assists, Olivia Abe scored a goal and registered an assist, Haley Palmer and Emily Eckels had a goal and an assist apiece and Teresa Pelli had an assist for the Bruins (3-1).

NORTHEAST 19, ST. JAMES 9: Mackenzie Hynson, Laura Skorobatsch and Alyssa Borgert each scored three goals for the Eagles (3-1). Madison Hobbs and Morgan James scored two goals apiece and Delaney Piechowiak, Ciara Ryan, Emma Borgert, Bailey Makarovich and Brianna Benge each scored one goal. Hynson recorded two assists and Alyssa Borgert recorded one.

C.M. WRIGHT 12, KENT ISLAND 9: Morgan Gunn, Blair Goodrich and Caroline Blandford led the Buccaneers with two goals apiece. Cassidy Creighton scored a goal and notched an assist, Ally Heath and Kelly Poole each scored a goal, Kaylen Karnes registered two assists and Rachel Ruffennach had an assist.

ARUNDEL 17, JORDAN SIENNA 7: Kathleen Bevan scored three goals for the Wildcats (1-1). Kayla Ross, Gabby Lavin and Shannon Godwin had two goals and two assists apiece, Alexis Garlarza and Sarah Berry each scored two goals, Tiffany Lee and Caroline Keane each had a goal and an assist, Izzy Seven and Savannah Reitz scored a goal apiece, Nikki Seven recorded two assists and Kaitlyn Cloyd had one.

QUEEN ANNE’S 17, ANNAPOLIS 7: Cammie Schniedwind scored three goals and Lizzie Heyn added two goals, but the Panthers fell to the Lions. Anna Coffin and Maura Cissel added goals, while Amelia Wallace made nine saves for Annapolis (1-3).

SOUTHERN 6, HUNTINGTOWN 4: Sierra Suplee scored twice and Taylor Suplee made 11 saves for the Bulldogs. Olivia Miller scored a goal and recorded two assists, Sloane Dowgiallo scored a goal and had an assist and Olivia Heinrichs and Caitlin Miller scored a goal apiece.

SOUTHERN 10, EASTON 8: Sloane Dowgiallo scored five goals for the Bulldogs (2-1). Alli VanSlyke, Caitlin Miller, Olivia Miller, Sierra Suplee and Erin Gulden scored one goal apiece. Maddie Messina recorded an assist and Elyse Finnelle made seven saves.
