St. Mary's rolls into Sole Classic final

Elizabeth Gilman scored 15 points to St. Mary’s to a 67-34 victory over Wheaton at the Chris Sole Holiday Hoops Classic on Thursday. Kerry Kelliher added 13 points and Ashley Roy had 11 for St. Mary’s (7-2). Claire Richardson chipped in with nine points and Shelby Sullivan had seven points, three steals and four assists.

St. Mary’s will meet the winner of Thursday’s semifinal between Westlake and Coolidge in Friday’s 1:30 championship game.

Winters Mill Tournament

OAKDALE 35, SEVERNA PARK 30: Jess Giblin scored 10 points and Julia Ryan had seven, but the Falcons fell to the Bears. Severna Park is 3-5.

SOUTHERN 62, NORTHERN-CALVERT COUNTY 28: Julia Fitzwater guided the Bulldogs with 22 points, including five 3-pointers. Cameron Mangold netted 19 points and Gianna Kronk and Kirsten Foster combined for 16 points to move the team’s record to 2-4.

Queen Anne’s Christmas Tournament

QUEEN ANNE’S 48, NORTHEAST 29: Allyson Wills paced the Eagles with 10 points and four rebounds in the championship contest. Caroline Makarovich added eight points and eight rebounds and Mackenzie Coburn chipped in five points for Northeast (2-7).

SEVERN 58, J.E.B. STUART 47: Jorryn Avery led with 16 points and Katie Manning netted 10 as the Admirals won the consolation game over the Raiders. Morgan Skinner added nine and Sydney Tolliver had eight for Severn (2-6).

Chris Sole Holiday Hoops Classic at North Point

OLD MILL 60, GWYNN PARK 43: Sydney Faulcon tallied 15 points and 10 rebounds and Jasmine Valentine had 14 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Patriots past the Yellow Jackets. Old Mill (3-2) will face Paul VI in the tournament final Friday at 5 p.m.

PAUL VI 88, MEADE 23: Excellanxt Greer led the Mustangs (5-2) with 12 points.

Howard Holiday Tournament

HOWARD 66, SOUTH RIVER 36: Harley Herndon guided the Seahawks with 13 points and Kathleen Sullivan and Ashlynn Burrrows combined for 17 points but it was not enough to avert the team’s first loss of the season. South River dropped to 7-1.

AACS Christmas Tournament

ANNAPOLIS AREA CHRISTIAN 60, RED LION CHRISTIAN 31: Koi Sims produced 13 points, eight rebounds, three assists, two steals and a pair of blocks to guide the Eagles (9-2) to Friday’s semifinal against Greater Grace (10-0). Reniyah Ross added 11 points and three rebounds and Deja Bristol chipped in nine rebounds and seven points.
