Vican leads Broadneck past Severna Park, 38-35

Logan Vican finished with 16 points, eight rebounds and five blocks to lead Broadneck to a 38-35 victory over rival Severna Park on Friday night in front of a sold-out gymnasium at Broadneck.

Nick Gatton had 10 rebounds and five points and Mike Cantrell chipped in 10 points and three steals for Broadneck (10-2).

Colin Wolfe scored 12 points and Jordan Hallet added eight points for Severna Park (2-8).

OLD MILL 58, NORTHEAST 50: Daevone Johnson led all scorers with 18 points to lead the Patriots. Avion Robinson added 15 points and Tyrek Almaralis added 10 points for Old Mill (8-3). Brandon LeBarron had 16 points to lead the Eagles (5-6).

MEADE 79, CHESAPEAKE 48: Mazhi Thames led the Mustangs to their eighth consecutive victory by scoring 25 points and dishing out six assists. Tre Dunn chipped in with 21 points and TJ Speight had 13 points for the Mustangs (10-2).

Alonzo Wilkes produced 12 points, 12 rebounds and six blocks, Russell

Tongue chipped in 13 points with five rebounds and three steals and Kareem Francis added 11 points and eight rebounds for the Cougars (5-7).

GLEN BURNIE 62, NORTH COUNTY 51: Braeden Cavey had 20 points and six rebounds and Mekhi Simmons added 15 points and 14 rebounds in the win for the Gophers. Kennedy McKissic added 14 points while Dominick Williams had 11 points and four rebounds for Glen Burnie (8-3). Omeech Wilson led the Knights with 18 points, 11 rebounds and two blocks. Shawn Lilly had 16 points and six rebounds and Jaiden Ballard had eight points, 15 rebounds and two blocks for North County (1-10).

SOUTHERN 47, SOUTH RIVER 43: Jay Carter and Jake Koverman each scored 14 points for the Bulldogs (8-4). Eric Sondberg produced 18 points and Kobe Denton added 10 points for the Seahawks (4-6).

ST. PAUL’S 57, ST. MARY’S 45: Patrick Devitt poured in 15 points, Jacob Aryee added 14 points and Garrett Nilsen chipped in seven points, six assists and four rebounds for the Saints (4-9).

INDIAN CREEK 63, CHAPELGATE CHRISTIAN 37: Khalil Williams scored 24 points and added 10 rebounds and three steals and Khiyon Washington added 23 points, five steals and six assists for the Eagles (8-7).

ST. JOHN’S-CP 57, SEVERN 54: A.J. Burch scored 20 points and Mo Terry added 19, but the Admirals fell on the road on Thursday.
