Police: Taxi driver robbed at gunpoint in Annapolis
Annapolis police said a taxi driver was robbed at gunpoint early this morning.
The man driving the cab dropped off a fare around 3 a.m. in the 1000 block of President Street — near the Eastport Community Center — when two males approached the car, according to an Annapolis Police Department release.
Sgt. Amy Miguez, police spokeswoman, said the description of the two males was not detailed enough to disclose.
One of the males pointed a handgun at the driver and demanded money, according to the release. The driver complied and the suspects took the money and ran away.
The two males were not located, the release details. The cab driver was not injured, Miguez said.
