A 64-year-old man was injured Thursday after a fire burned through a Severn home.

Firefighters responded to a report of a fire at a home on the 500 block of Donaldson Avenue at 12:45 p.m., the Anne Arundel County Fire Department said.

A single-story, ranch-style home caught fire, the department said, and it took firefighters about 20 minutes to extinguish.

The man was evaluated at the scene by paramedics and taken to Baltimore Washington Medical Center with minor injuries, the department said.

Three adults were displaced by the fire. Its cause is still under investigation.
