A man suffered life-threatening injuries this morning when he was ejected from his pickup truck after rolling it over on Interstate 97.
Firefighters were called to the scene of a single-vehicle crash on I-97 north near exit 10 at 7:56 a.m., said Capt. Russ Davies, spokesman for the Anne Arundel County Fire Department.
The man was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, Davies said.
A spokesman with Maryland State Police said they did not have any additional information about the crash.
Investigators were still at the scene around 10 a.m. Lane closures caused traffic heading toward Baltimore to backup for miles and could be seen as far as exit 5 toward Crownsville.
