Anne Arundel County accepting applications for Board of Appeals

The Anne Arundel County Council is accepting resumes for the Board of Appeals.

The board is a seven-member quasi-judicial entity presiding over appeals of administrative agencies. Examples of this include zoning law, permit decisions, personnel issues and animal control, according to a county news release. The board meets three times a week.

The deadline to submit applications is 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 21.

Resumes should include political party affiliation and be sent to JoAnne Gray, administrative officer to the county council at Arundel Center P.O. Box 2700, Annapolis. Resumes can also be submitted via email to jgray@aacounty.org.

Interested residents have to be registered voters in Anne Arundel County. If selected, members are paid a $5,250 annual salary along with $75 per hearing, meeting or on-site inspection. Members have to file financial disclosures with the County Ethics Commission.
