Police: Annapolis nail salon was burglarized, vandalized; walls were spray painted

Police say someone smashed property and spray painted on the walls of an Annapolis business that was burglarized this week.

Annapolis police said sometime between 11 p.m. Sunday and 9:50 a.m. Monday, someone entered the Risqué Hair and Nail Salon on Bay Ridge Road and stole cash, makeup and various electronic equipment while damaging property.

Investigators found broken television screens, ripped furniture and a smashed countertop. The suspect also spray painted on walls, cabinets and appliances inside the business, police said.

Police spokesman Sgt. Amy Miguez called the burglary “unusual” given the amount of damage to the business.

Investigators have not named a suspect. The department said there were no signs of forced entry to the business.
