Anne Arundel police seek man who tried to sexually assault jogger in Severn

Anne Arundel County police are looking for a man they say tried to sexually assault a woman Sunday morning while she was jogging in Severn.

The woman told police she was approached by man about 7:35 a.m., officers responded to the 8300 block of Candlewick Court for an assault/robbery.

The woman said she was jogging near the intersection of Indian Drive when she was approached by a man who tried to talk with her. As she continued running, the man tried to sexually assault her.

When the woman yelled for help, the man grabbed the woman’s headphones and ran away.

Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the man.

The woman offered a general description of the man as as black, about 6-feet-tall, 150 pounds. He was wearing dark clothing. Police released a sketch of the man suspected in the attack.
