DEA to put pharmacy looters' photos on billboards

The Drug Enforcement Administration will display photographs of people suspected of taking part in area pharmacy lootings on billboards throughout Baltimore in an effort to identify those involved.

Five electronic billboards will rotate the photos, taken from video surveillance of pharmacy lootings during the unrest following Freddie Gray's death, during a week-long campaign beginning Monday.

"It is our hope that the public will see someone they know, or recognize, on the billboard and call the Metro-Crime Stoppers toll-free number that is next to the picture," DEA spokesman Special Agent Todd Edwards said in a press release.

The billboards are located at I-83 South of Cold Spring Lane, Russell Street, Hanover Street and 1-95, both south of Russell Street and north of Ft. McHenry Tunnel.
