Studying the impact of hardened shoreline

Biologist Mark Lewandowski from the Maryland Department of Natural Resources looks at underwater grass beds in the Severn river. DNR and NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) are surveying areas that have a hardened shoreline because of waterfront homeowners' efforts at erosion prevention.
