An unidentified male was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body Tuesday evening in West Baltimore, police said.

Jamal Barney, who played basketball for Loyola University Maryland after breaking through as a two-time Baltimore Sun All-Metro pick from Southwestern High School, was found dead Monday in a vacant home in Midtown-Edmondson, according to Baltimore Police.

The trial for David Linthicum, who is accused of shooting two Baltimore County Police officers, will be postponed from November until May of next year, a Baltimore County judge ruled Tuesday.

A retired Baltimore Police officer shot by his wife last year after he was accused of sexually abusing children at her day care will be released on home detention before his May trial.

Rashid Maxwell Jr., 15, was fatally shot Sept. 25 near Gilmor Elementary School in West Baltimore’s Sandtown-Winchester neighborhood. The school is attached to the Lillian Jones Recreation Center, a facility that community advocates, like Showdown for Sandtown, have been vying to get reopened.
