Arrest made in weekend homicide in Northeast Baltimore

A 20-year-old man has been charged in the killing of a housemate over the weekend in Northeast Baltimore, Baltimore Police said Monday.

Kauron Malik Gross was arrested on Sunday, and has been charged with first-degree murder in the early Saturday morning shooting of Anthony Pryor, police said.

The two men lived in the same home in the 3700 block of Bonview Ave. in the city's Belair-Edison neighborhood, though it was not immediately clear what their connection was, police said.

The shooting followed a dispute and occurred in the same block as the home, police said.

Pryor, who was shot in the head, was pronounced dead at the scene, which police responded to about 12:57 a.m.

Police initially said Pryor was 37, but have since said they are reviewing conflicting information to determine his exact age.
