It's been a deadly weekend on Maryland roads.

In a horrific crash early Saturday, three teen-agers from Anne Arundel County, all recent graduates of two high schools, were killed in a head-on collision on U.S. 50. The driver of the car they hit also was killed.

Police said that the driver of the car the teens were in somehow got onto the eastbound lanes of westbound U.S. 50, and hit a car head-on while traveling the wrong way. More details of the crash and information the driver, an aspiring nursing student, can be read here.

Also early Saturday, police said a woman driving on the Eastern Shore hit and killed a hunter as he was walking along a road in Queen Anne's County. Police said the 54-year-old woman got out her car to help, and was herself hit and killed by a vehicle as she dialed 911. Read more details about this accident.

To make matters even worse, the founder of a local news breaking web site was killed in yet another accident on Saturday in Anne Arundel County. The victim, Brian David McDevitt of Pasadena, was the custodian at Severna Park High School, the same school that one of the victims in the crash on U.S. 50 had graduated from in 2011.
