Hopkins doctor shot by patient's son continues to recover

A Johns Hopkins surgeon who was shot by the son of a patient at the hospital this week was in fair but stable condition Saturday.

"He is in fair condition and we are confident he will recover," said Gary Stephenson, senior associate director of media relations for the hospital.

Dr. David B. Cohen, 45, was shot Thursday by a man who was distraught about his mother, who was one of Cohen's patients at the hospital.
