Baltimore police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man in Northeast Baltimore on Tuesday night, a spokesman said. An officer responded to a report of a shooting in the 5600 block of Pilgrim Road in the Harford-Echodale-Perring Parkway neighborhood about 11:15 p.m., said Detective Kevin Hagan, a Baltimore police spokesman. When police arrived, medical crews were treating the victim, who was found lying next to a 2000 Buick with a gunshot wound in his head, Hagan said. The man was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 11:50 p.m., Hagan said. Detectives were still working to identify the man, the spokesman said.
