Police identified Wednesday the man shot by an unknown assailant Tuesday afternoon at East Madison and Aisquith streets as Darnell Freeman, 19, of the 1000 block of McAleer Court. Freeman died a short time later at Johns Hopkins Hospital. No arrest had been made.
Northwestern Baltimore
A man was shot in the left leg in the 2500 block of Garrison Blvd. late Tuesday and was driven by his girlfriend to St. Agnes Hospital. Police said the victim was not cooperating with detectives.

Police were seeking a green 2002 Kia Rio with tags 9BW R78 that was stolen Monday in the 1600 block of Eastern Ave.
A gold-colored 35mm camera valued at $300 was stolen Tuesday from a 2005 BMW parked in the 2100 block of Cambridge St.

A resident of the 600 block of Cherrycrest Road was home Monday afternoon when a man she knows broke open the front door to gain entry. The woman pushed the door closed and called the police, causing the man to flee. No arrest was made and damage to the door was set at $400.
A woman, 39, was walking in the 1100 block of Russell St. on Sunday afternoon on her way to the Ravens game at M&T; Bank Stadium when a man stole her purse containing cash and property, all valued at $430.
Baltimore Co. – Pikesville
A woman, 26, was arrested Tuesday and was charged with breaking into a house in the 4100 block of Bedford Road that day. Jennifer Bair of Warren Park Drive told police she entered the house by forcing a storm window to borrow money from a person she knew to pay a cab fare. Police said the occupant had moved out earlier.
Baltimore Co. – Parkville
Someone broke into Emage Furs in the 8800 block of Belair Road through a basement window Monday and stole an undisclosed number of fur coats.
Baltimore Co. – Towson
A 9mm Glock handgun with serial number DHW494US, jewelry and a watch were stolen Tuesday from an apartment in the first block of Altura Court by someone who entered through a door.
