A woman was fatally struck by a car Tuesday morning as she crossed Eastern Avenue, and Baltimore County police were searching for the driver of the vehicle, believed to be a Mazda with damage to the headlights. The woman, identified by police as Delores Stray, 70, of the 7700 block of Gough St. was struck about 5:30 a.m. in the eastbound lanes just west of 54th Street near Eastpoint Mall, police said. She was taken to an area hospital and pronounced dead.
