Police reports in Baltimore city and county

Northeastern BaltimoreVictim identified Police released the name Wednesday of the man bound and beaten to death in his home in the 4700 block of Glenarm Ave. on Dec. 2 as David Monath, 66. Police said a friend of Monath's observed a man and a woman fleeing from Monath's home about 7:15 p.m. and detained the woman at gunpoint. It was not known if the woman was charged in Monath's death. The woman's companion was still being sought. Police believe Monath was killed during a home invasion robbery.

Eastern BaltimoreStolen vehicle A 2008 Cadillac with tags 9FL T42 was stolen between Dec. 3 and Tuesday in the 700 block of E. Eager St.

Arrests Two boys, each 14 and from East Baltimore, were arrested Tuesday after one of them pointed a handgun at the owner of a store in the 2000 block of E. Lafayette Ave. when the owner refused to let them use the bathroom.

Thefts Two navigational systems, all worth nearly $400, were stolen Tuesday from two vehicles parked on North Castle Street. One vehicle was parked in the 500 block and the other in the 900 block.

Baltimore Co. – WilkensOfficer assaulted/arrest A precinct officer was assaulted Wednesday afternoon by a male occupant of an apartment in the 4400 block of Alan Drive while the officer talked to him about a disturbance call. During the conversation, the man, who was armed with a boot knife, made aggressive moves toward the officer and shoved her down a stairs. The officer was able to disarm the man and called for back-up units. The officer, whose name was not released, was not injured. Arrested and charged with assaulting a police officer was Dalton Booth, 31. The knife was recovered at the scene.

Baltimore Co. – White MarshBurglary A .22 caliber rifle and a .38 caliber handgun, all worth $500, were stolen Wednesday from a house in the 7500 block of Brightside Ave. by someone who entered through a basement door.

Baltimore Co. – ParkvilleBurglary Someone entered a house in the first block of Handworth Way through a rear window Wednesday and stole video games, three suits, jewelry and $500.

Purse snatch A woman, 57, was walking toward a food market in the 4100 block of E. Joppa Road on Wednesday when a man grabbed her purse containing cash, a cell phone and other property.

Burglary At least $200 in quarters were stolen between Monday and Tuesday from laundry machines in the basement of an apartment building in the 8400 block of Kings Ridge Road.

Baltimore Co. – TowsonBurglary/arrest Security officers at a business in the 2300 block of Cleanleigh Drive observed a man trying to break into nearby Dutch Liquors with a baseball bat late Wednesday and called police. Police arrested the man at the scene and charges were pending an investigation. Entry was not gained.

Baltimore Co. – CockeysvilleBurglary Someone broke into a garage in the 200 block of Belmont Forest Court between Monday and Tuesday and removed a front door, a spare tire and money from a 2006 Honda.

Baltimore Co. – PikesvilleAssault/arrest Two men, one 77 and the other 67, were arguing outside the older man's house in the 500 block of Sudbrook Lane about 10 a.m. Wednesday when the younger man, a former neighbor of the victim, threatened him with a handgun before driving away. Arrested in the city and charged with first-degree assault was Eric Thorson of the first block of Breton Hill Road.
