Police in Prince George’s County and Baltimore confirm that they are working together to explore whether body parts found in their respective jurisdictions are linked to the same case.
A body part was found off a secluded road in Brandywine on Sept. 3, 2020; Prince George’s County police say it was a human foot, found by a citizen. Then, on Nov. 30, a woman’s torso was found wrapped in a tarp on a dead-end street in a neighborhood in Southwest Baltimore’s Morrell Park neighborhood.
City police have been unable to determine the identity of the victim after nearly two months, and have release no further information.
But the two agencies confirmed they were working together on the two grisly discoveries.
Though the body part in Brandywine was discovered first, Prince George’s detectives “have uncovered no evidence suggesting a crime occurred in our jurisdiction related to the discovery of the body part last September,” police said.
Anyone with information was asked to call Prince George’s County detectives at 301-516-2512 or Baltimore homicide detectives at 410-396-2100.
