Police arrest Baltimore man in 2014 father, son murder

Police said Thursday they have charged a 27-year-old Baltimore man in the murder of a father and son on New Year's Day in 2014.

Jamal Dunn of North Hilton Street was arrested on Tuesday, charged with shooting to death 48-year-old Frank Anthony Turner and his son, 21-year-old Anthony Dionne Turner. According to charging documents, Dunn was retaliating after the elder Turner fought the night before with Dunn's mother and other members of the family over a debt owed to him. Dunn shot the younger Turner when he attempted to intervene, the documents say.

The shooting occurred in the 3900 block of Edmonson Ave., near Lyndhurst Elementary School.

Dunn, who had prior convictions including for assault, was taken to the central booking intake facility and is waiting trial without bail, police said.

A lawyer for Dunn was not listed and family could not be reached.
