Baltimore Police said Wednesday they have arrested a suspect in the fatal shooting of a man at a gas station on York Road last week.

Police on Monday identified the suspect as Davon Brown, possibly spelled Devon, age 27, of the 700 block of Winston Ave. Surveillance video released by police showed the victim, Deontay McKnight, and the suspect making a "hand to hand drug transaction" about 11:30 p.m. at a gas station in the 5100 block of York Road last Wednesday.

Charges have not been posted in online court records and a lawyer for Brown could not be identified.

McKnight was pumping gas at the station when the suspect shot him multiple times, police said. McKnight pulled on his own gun and fired, though police believe he did not strike anyone. He later died at a hospital.

Brown was wanted on charges of first and second-degree murder and related charges.
