A 27-year-old man was injured in a Tuesday morning drive-by shooting in Baltimore's Shipley Hill neighborhood, city police said.

Officers went to the intersection of Baltimore Street and Warwick Avenue at about 8:40 a.m. for a report of a shooting, police said. There they found the victim, who'd been shot in the neck.

He was taken to an area hospital and is listed in "serious but stable condition," police said.

A preliminary investigation revealed the victim was driving his vehicle in the unit block of S. Catherine Street when another vehicle pulled up beside him. A person in that vehicle then opened fire on the victim, police said.
