Two men killed in separate East Baltimore shootings Saturday

Two men were killed in East Baltimore shootings Saturday, police said.

About 4 p.m., a 28-year-old man was found shot to death at Old Town Mall in East Baltimore, police said.

Officers were called to the 500 block of Old Town Mall about 4 p.m. for a report of a shooting. Police say they found the man suffering from multiple wounds and called medics.

The victim, who officers did not identify Saturday, died at the scene, police said.

About 7:23 p.m., police were called to the 2300 block of Aiken Street for a report of gunfire. Officers say they found a man nearby, in the 1200 block of Darley Avenue, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

The man was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Anyone with information about the shootings is asked to call Baltimore Police homicide detectives at 410-396-2100.

The homicides follow a spate of overnight violence, including a fatal shooting early Saturday morning.

Police also are investigating a Southwest Baltimore shooting that took place Saturday afternoon. Officers were called to Catherine Street and Wilkens Avenue about 3:23 p.m., and said they found a 31-year-old man with a gunshot wound in his back.

The man was taken to an area hospital, police said. Officers did not provide details on the man’s condition.
