SNOW HILL, Md. (AP) — A Sparrows Point man has been convicted in the death of another man after a fight in Ocean City.
Darren M. Beattie, 21, was convicted of manslaughter and assault, The Daily Times of Salisbury reported (http://delmarvane.ws/2feh0yV). A Worcester County Circuit Court jury found Beattie guilty on Tuesday.
Beattie got into a fight on May 29 with 31-year-old Ryan Shupert of Lutherville, prosecutors said. Shupert died two days later at a local hospital.
Beattie faces a sentence of up to 10 years in prison for manslaughter.
