Baltimore police responded to two nonfatal shootings overnight in west and south Baltimore.
Around 10:30 p.m. Sunday, officers in the Western District responded to a hospital for a reported walk-in shooting victim, police said. A 27-year-old man had been shot in the back and cheek in the 1200 block of North Calhoun Street in Sandtown-Winchester, police said.
Police also responded to a reported shooting in the 1400 block of Ward Street in the Southern District around 12:45 a.m. Monday. Officers in Washington Village found a 51-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds to his hand, leg and abdomen, police said. He was taken to a local hospital. His condition is unknown, police said.

Police also released the identity of a recent homicide victim. Blake Hammond, 17, died in a July 28 shooting in the 2400 block of Washington Boulevard in Morrell Park. Hammond died at University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center after being shot in the torso, police said.
