Two former letter carriers for the U.S. Postal Service have pleaded guilty to diverting packages of marijuana and delivering them to co-conspirators.
Forty-six-year-old Antoinette McDaniels of Windsor Mill and 26-year-old Hilary Gainey of Baltimore entered the pleas this month in federal court in Baltimore. McDaniels faces a maximum of 20 years in prison and Gainey faces up to 40 years in prison at sentencing in the spring.
According to their pleas, McDaniels and Gainey agreed to divert packages sent through the mail that contained marijuana, and deliver those packages to co-conspirators, in exchange for $100 per parcel.
