Baltimore County Police said Tuesday night that officers arrested two men who they say shot and killed a man and seriously injured a woman.
Jamell W. Smith, 32, and Michael J. Curry, 40, have both been charged with first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder. Both men are being held without bond at the Baltimore County Detention Center and will have a bail review hearing Wednesday. No attorney was listed for them in online court records.
Police allege that on June 14 the men conspired to kill Darrin Barnes, 30, after an argument days earlier. Barnes was shot outside BJ Mallards in the 1100 block of Ingleside Ave. of Woodlawn just after midnight. He was transported to an area hospital where he later died. A second victim, a woman, was “seriously” injuries, police said.
