Baltimore County Police on Wednesday identified the victim of a late-night homicide as Tavon Martice Marshall, 37, of the 3500 block of Fieldcreek Way in Parkville.
Police were dispatched to the 3500 block of Fieldcreek Way around 9:40 p.m. Tuesday night for a report of shots fired. When officers arrived, they found Marshall with at least one gunshot wound in the parking lot of the residential development, and began life-saving efforts, police said Wednesday.
When Baltimore County Fire Department emergency medical services personnel arrived, they continued life-saving efforts but ultimately declared Marshall dead on the scene. Police spokeswoman Natalie Litofsky said she did not know at what time he was pronounced deceased.
Litofsky said police have no reason to believe the incident was random.
The incident was first reported at 12:28 a.m. Wednesday, in a tweet from police officials.
Also overnight in Baltimore County, police shot and killed a man who allegedly threatened to harm himself and others. That story is still developing.
Police ask anyone with details about the Parkville shooting to call 410-307-2020.
