Dorsey told police that he and his wife were sleeping when they were awakened by Espinoza -- wearing no shirt or shoes -- banging on the front door of their home.

The couple yelled at him to leave, and when he tried to get inside, Dorsey fired one shot, killing him, police said.

No charges had been filed as of Sunday morning.

Detectives believe Espinoza had been staying at a friend’s house in the neighborhood, police said.

Dorsey did not respond to a call and voicemail message left at a number listed for his Woodbine home. Phone numbers listed for Espinoza were disconnected.
