Baltimore County police on Sunday identified the second suspect from a Friday bank robbery that led to a man being shot by police in the Pikesville area.

Police said there was a second suspect, who they believed to be the "Aviator" serial bank robber pursued by the FBI.

On Sunday, police identified him as Michael Eugene Stratton, 45, of the 500 block of West Presstman Street in the Druid Heights section of West Baltimore.

Police said he is "believed to have been involved in several bank robberies in the Baltimore area during the month of September."

He is being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center, police said.

The FBI had offered a $5,000 reward for information leading to arrest of "The Aviator." The agency believes he was responsible for robberies on Sept. 1 robbery at a Wells Fargo Bank in Dundalk, Sept. 9 at a BB&T Bank in Hamilton and Sept. 20 at a Wells Fargo Bank in Parkville. The nickname referred to the style of sunglasses he wore during the robberies.

The officer who fired his weapon has not been identified, and was placed on administrative status pending a review of the shooting. Police said they recovered "money and bank property" from the vehicle. They did not recover weapons.
